What is The "Location Safety Score"?

The LSS is an average of "Safety Checks" submitted by Mealeez members. Each check rates a location on three critical safety pillars:

  • Staff Knowledge: How well the team understood and handled allergy requests.

  • Hygiene & Prep: The perceived cleanliness and care taken to avoid cross-contamination.

  • Order Accuracy: Whether the final meal was delivered correctly and safely.

How do I read the score?

The score is presented as a color-coded badge, consistent with the rest of the Mealeez app:

  • 🟢 Green Badge (Excellent - e.g., 4.0-5.0): The community consistently reports positive and safe experiences.

  • 🟡 Amber Badge (Average - e.g., 2.5-3.9): Experiences vary. This is a signal to be extra vigilant and to speak directly with a manager about your concerns.

  • 🔴 Red Badge (Poor - e.g., Below 2.5): Multiple members have reported significant safety concerns at this specific location.

  • No Badge: This means a location doesn't have enough recent Safety Checks to generate a reliable score yet. You could be the first to contribute!

To keep scores relevant, we only show results from the last 6 months. We understand that a score from 2022 will not reflect things such as staff turnover, improved training or amended allergy policies, so we want you to see a score and reviews that you can be confident in.

Important: The LSS is a powerful guide, but it is not a guarantee of safety. Always follow your personal safety protocols and communicate your allergies directly with the restaurant staff before ordering.
